Viva la Barista for Quills Coffee

The baristas at Quills Coffee are no doubt on top of their game, aside from being such a friendly group, they take their craft seriously. When I was commissioned to design something for the staff jackets, I wanted to do it right.

New Work: Louisville is for Letters

If you're ever in the Louisville area, do yourself a favor and make a point to visit Why Louisville in the highlands neighborhood. Easily one of the most unique stores in Louisville, (which says a lot) it has a ton of amazing goods and gifts from local designers, makers & artists. I was asked to design a shirt and I wanted to do something sophisticated and fun at the same time. Bam. there it is. If you're not able to swing by the store, you can acquire one right here.

2013 Cyclo-Cross World Championships

I was asked to create merchandise for the 2013 World Cycling Championships, which for the first time in it's history will be taking place in the united states, here in Louisville, KY. The graphic was for apparel and prints, so it needed to be fairly bold and simple.

TDC58 Opening Ceremony & Exhibition

I had the honor this year of being included in the Type Directors Club 58th annual exhibition for typographic excellence in communication design, one of the world’s most prestigious typographic design competitions. I attended the exhibition opening and Ceremony at Cooper Union in Manhattan and was blown away by all the amazing work of so many, and the level that typography has reached. I am humbled to have my work acknowledged along with such great designers, including many of my heroes. Later this year the works will also be published in the Typography33 annual book. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, and to top it off my phone died on me before i could even capture any decent shots of the opening. I did however manage to grab a few shots before the evening began. Aside from the opening in New York, the show will be traveling around the world and shown in Canada, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, Spain and Vietnam.
